Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Purchaser Support role in Houston to assist the purchasing team with material orders, data entry, and expediting. You will partner with suppliers to track delivery dates and back orders, maintain supplier pricing in the ERP, and help with receivers and bulk deliveries to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong time management, and ERP experience (COINS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist Purchasing team with placing orders and follow up with suppliers.
• Track delivery dates and back orders; communicate issues to teams.
• Maintain supplier pricing files in ERP and spreadsheets.
• Assist with material receivers and coordinate bulk deliveries.
• Process returns and credits for materials.
• Support RFQ/RFP processes for pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
