Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Procurement Compliance Manager to strengthen procurement processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support audits. You will partner with procurement professionals, business partners, suppliers, and leadership to drive continuous improvement across multiple functions.

Responsibilities include leading compliance initiatives, developing policies, and mentoring staff, with a focus on sustainable compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of relevant professional experience in procurement, business operations, compliance, project management, or related field.
• Experience in regulated environments with procurement, compliance, auditing, or government contracting requirements.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS or similar regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating across teams.
• Must be able to obtain Secret level security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement compliance and process improvement efforts.
• Ensure procurement processes meet regulations, policies, and internal controls.
• Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, templates, and guidance.
• Oversee supplier onboarding with stakeholders to implement improvements.
• Support audits and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, IT, and procurement teams on compliance solutions.
• Train and advise procurement staff on regulatory requirements and best practices.
