Job summary

JGMS is seeking a Procurement Compliance Specialist to support our client. This role reviews procurement and subcontract files to ensure compliance with FAR, DEAR, and internal policies; the specialist will independently plan, organize, and perform pre-award and post-award reviews and support audits.

You will work with procurement personnel, management, legal counsel, labor relations, internal audit, subcontractors, suppliers, and DOE/NNSA representatives, providing findings and corrective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience.
• At least 5 years relevant, progressively responsible experience.
• Government procurement and subcontracting experience required (DOE/NNSA).
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Effective planning, organizing and leadership skills; strong communication.
• Willingness to attend training in North Las Vegas, NV and work remotely as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review procurement requisitions, solicitations, and supporting documentation.
• Verify compliance with FAR/DEAR and NNSS internal policies.
• Assess the completeness and accuracy of procurement packages prior to award.
• Identify risks and provide remediation recommendations.
• Conduct compliance reviews of major subcontracts and procurement activities requiring Legal Counsel and CO reviews.
• Review awarded subcontracts, modifications, and related documentation.
• Evaluate subcontract administration for compliance with terms and regulatory requirements.
• Document findings with strengths and improvements.
• Coordinate with Legal Counsel and Labor Relations on procurement policies and issues.
• Perform periodic NNSS procurement process assessments.
• Assist with periodic management assessments and corrective-action plans.
• Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls related to procurement compliance.
• Provide independent evaluation of procurement system health.
• Develop tracking system for findings and recommendations.
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions by NNSS procurement.
• Report status of corrective actions and outstanding issues.
• Develop and refine corrective action plans.
• Periodically review policies considering FAR and contract modifications.
