Job summary

TAS Energy in Houston, TX seeks a Buyer I to support procurement for engineered-to-order modular solutions. The role handles supplier sourcing, PO management, and BOM reconciliation to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Candidate should have 2–5 years in purchasing in a custom manufacturing setting, strong ERP/MRP understanding, and excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in purchasing/expediting for custom engineered products.
• Understanding of ERP/MRP driven manufacturing processes.
• Experience with supplier qualification and contract interpretation is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office and data-driven metrics reporting.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with suppliers from order to receipt to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Develop supplier recovery plans for quality issues or delays.
• Review supplier quotations and assist in PO management in ERP/MRP environment.
• Reconcile BOMs to planned orders and resolve discrepancies with CM and Purchasing.
• Maintain supplier PO promise dates and escalate risks to TAS management.
