Job summary

TAS Energy, a Houston-based provider of modular cooling and energy solutions, is seeking a Buyer Manager to lead sourcing, procurement, and supplier performance to support project schedules.

You will supervise Buyers, optimize RFQ/PO processes, and collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Manufacturing to align priorities and delivery timelines. This role focuses on strategic sourcing and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ Purchasing/Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years leadership experience managing procurement or supply chain personnel.
• APICS CPM CPSM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Buyers, including goal setting and performance tracking.
• Oversee RFQ, quotation, and purchase order processes.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product Management, Planning, Manufacturing, and Project teams to determine priorities and delivery scheduling for procurement.
• Drive procurement process improvements and standardization.
• Support supplier diversification and risk mitigation, supplier qualification and performance management.
