Heidelberg Materials seeks a Storeroom/Material Handler in Mason City, IA to receive, organize, and maintain parts and materials in the plant storeroom, and to pull, palletize, and distribute items for maintenance and operations.
You will use SAP for basic storeroom transactions, keeping accurate inventory records and collaborating with maintenance and plant staff to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced setting.
Receive, check in, organize, and maintain parts and materials within the plant storeroom, including completing goods receipts.
Pull, check out, palletize, and distribute parts and equipment needed by the maintenance and plant teams.
Maintain accurate inventory and transaction records while helping ensure parts are properly stored and readily available when needed.
Use SAP to complete basic storeroom transactions, including receiving materials and tracking parts moving in and out of inventory.
Work closely with maintenance and other plant employees to support daily operational needs while maintaining an organized and efficient storeroom.
Mechanical or maintenance knowledge with the ability to identify and understand common parts and equipment preferred.
Previous experience in a plant, industrial, warehouse, storeroom, or parts environment is beneficial but not required.
Basic computer skills; SAP or similar inventory management system experience is preferred but can be trained.
Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a willingness to assist maintenance and other plant employees as needed.
