Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Storeroom Associate at our Mason City plant to receive, organize, and maintain parts and materials, and to support maintenance teams with timely deliveries.

You will use SAP for basic transactions, manage inventory records, and collaborate with maintenance staff in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Prior plant or storeroom experience is helpful but not required; dependable and team-focused individuals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or maintenance knowledge is preferred.
• Previous experience in a plant, industrial, warehouse, storeroom, or parts environment is beneficial but not required.
• Basic computer skills; SAP or similar inventory system experience is preferred but can be trained.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a willingness to assist maintenance and other plant employees.

What You'll Be Doing

• Receive, check in, organize, and maintain parts and materials within the plant storeroom, including completing goods receipts.
• Pull, check out, palletize, and distribute parts and equipment needed by the maintenance and plant teams.
• Maintain accurate inventory and transaction records while helping ensure parts are properly stored and readily available when needed.
• Use SAP to complete basic storeroom transactions, including receiving materials and tracking parts moving in and out of inventory.
• Work closely with maintenance and other plant employees to support daily operational needs while maintaining an organized and efficient storeroom.

What Are We Looking For

• Mechanical or maintenance knowledge with the ability to identify and understand common parts and equipment preferred.
• Previous experience in a plant, industrial, warehouse, storeroom, or parts environment is beneficial but not required.
