Examples of Work
This is advanced-level vocational procurement work involving purchasing materials, supplies, services, and equipment; maintaining and anticipating inventory usage; securing supplies; interviewing vendors and state agency representatives to resolve purchasing matters. Incumbents handle purchasing orders, invoices, requisitions, and vouchers. The work also includes directing and analyzing contract proposals or negotiations, reviewing procurement information submitted by state agencies, investigating market prices and trends, and planning and administering purchasing or contracts programs. Incumbents may assist state agencies by initiating recommendations and procedures. They receive general supervision from a higher-level Analyst or supervisor/manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-4 years of experience.
