Job summary

Qualico is seeking a Purchasing Assistant in McKinney, TX to support the Business Unit and Purchasing team. You will coordinate with accounting, assist in PO creation, vendor bid processes, and contract setup, while maintaining documentation in SharePoint and coordinating with internal and external teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of procurement experience in construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of procurement related experience in the Construction industry.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Strong communication and written/presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with accounting to resolve PO and invoice issues.
• Provide backup for PO creation and vendor POs.
• Request and track bids from vendors for monthly category bidding.
• Coordinate new vendor contracts, setup, and orientation.
• Maintain Vendor Bid Tabs and Master Vendor Contracts/Insurance.
• Load documents for purchasing to SharePoint and keep team organized.
• Distribute plans internally and externally; support scheduling for permits.
• Assist with architectural set creation for permits as needed.
• Generate VPO reporting and support purchasing-related projects.
