Job summary

McKenney's is seeking a procurement professional to advise on buyout for HVAC equipment, subcontractors, and construction materials for fabrication shops and projects. You will serve as the primary liaison with suppliers to foster strong partnerships and ensure cost-effective outcomes.

The role supports continuous improvement in purchasing, reviews vendor quotes, lead times, and submittals, and creates material POs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain/Business Administration, with equivalent experience.
• Solid MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and computer skills.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in a project-based or job-specific environment.

Responsibilities

• Buyout planning for HVAC equipment, subcontractors, and construction materials.
• Engage with vendors, review quotes, lead times, and select optimal suppliers.
• Create and manage material POs and subcontracts, track spend, and resolve discrepancies.
• Support bundling opportunities and cost-saving initiatives across projects.
• Escalate performance issues to vendors and maintain supplier relationships.
