Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a Business Analyst to develop a comprehensive understanding of the University’s spending patterns and translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders across departments. You will analyze expense transactions, build dashboards, and support procurement decision-making in alignment with the University's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics or Business; significant additional experience may substitute.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in business analytics, budgeting, accounting or financial analysis.
• Experience with databases and large datasets and its application to business strategy.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Working knowledge of procurement and source-to-pay software systems.
• Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to articulate Liberty University's mission and vision.
• No default on federal student or parent loans; no disqualifying legal issues.

Responsibilities

• Collects, organizes, and analyzes transactional spend data from multiple systems.
• Develop and deliver dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Creates an organizational spend map outlining key spend characteristics.
• Trains and supports stakeholders in procurement reporting systems.
• Contributes to supplier rationalization decisions based on spend analysis.
• Assists in establishing procurement analytics strategies based on data insights and trends.
• Supports procurement staff with ad-hoc spend analysis and presents findings to leadership.
• Pursues automation of data processing and analysis processes.
