Job description

• Collect, organize, and analyze transactional spend data, patterns, and anomalies from multiple systems
• Develop and deliver dashboards, reports, and visualizations
• Create an organizational spend map
• Assist with KPI, RFI, Strategic Plan, Health Check, and executive reporting requests
• Categorize transactions and summarize spend by key characteristics
• Communicate analysis, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders, leadership, and relevant teams
• Train and support stakeholders in procurement reporting systems
• Contribute to supplier rationalization decisions based on spend analysis
• Assist in establishing procurement analytics strategies based on insights and trends
• Provide ad hoc spend analysis to Procurement staff
• Pursue automation of data processing and analysis
• Develop technical understanding of procurement systems and manage analytics modules
• Collaborate with IT/ADS/BuyLU teams on procurement data requests, changes, and modifications
• Support implementation and maintenance of procurement analytics tools
• Ensure procurement data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
• Recommend system and process improvements
• Translate complex datasets into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
• Perform professional development and other assigned procurement projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Analytics or Business; significant additional experience may substitute
• Two-to-four years of professional experience in business analytics, budgeting, accounting and/or financial analysis
• Experience with databases and large datasets and their application to business strategy
• Working knowledge of procurement and source-to-pay software systems
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong technical and business writing and presentation skills
• Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally and in writing
• Ability to articulate and defend Liberty University’s Christian educational mission and vision
• Must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan
• Must not have disqualifying convictions or findings involving government funds
• Personal vehicle required for work travel
• Valid Virginia driver’s license, acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance required
• Ability to occasionally travel throughout Virginia and out of state
• Physical ability to perform deskwork, communicate orally, move around the workplace, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Fluency in Spanish or American Sign Language preferred
• IIBA certification, MBA/master’s degree, Lean or Six Sigma certification, and strong Jaggaer & Infor/source-to-pay software experience preferred
