Job summary

Genpact in Plano, TX is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials and services for elevator manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify, onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronics, and structural components.
• Manage PRs and POs in ERP (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics).
• Ensure timely procurement to support production and new product development.
• Coordinate with logistics for inbound deliveries and customs clearance.
• Resolve delays, shortages, and discrepancies with suppliers.
• Identify cost savings via value engineering and supplier consolidation.
• Work with Engineering for alternate materials or supplier development.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams on material needs.
• Support root cause analysis for supplier quality issues.
• Participate in NPI projects for sourcing new components.

This role ensures timely availability of quality parts at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Job Description:

• Experience in working with Sourcing and procurement Domain
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronics, and structural components used in elevator systems.
• Manage purchase requisitions (PR) and convert them into purchase orders (PO) in the ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and new product development.
• Coordinate with logistics for inbound deliveries and customs clearance (if applicable).
• Resolve issues related to delivery delays, part shortages, and discrepancies.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and localization initiatives.
• Work closely with engineering for alternative material or supplier development.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to understand material requirements.
• Address quality issues and support root cause analysis with suppliers.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects for sourcing new components.

Qualifications

• Engineering Graduate is preferred

Technical skills

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, casting, electronics).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics).
• Knowledge of Should Costing, cost breakdown analysis, and supplier audits.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$55,000 to $65,000]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
