Job summary

This role ensures timely availability of quality parts at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Job Description

• 0-3+ years’ experience in working with Sourcing and procurement Domain.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronics, and structural components used in elevator systems.
• Manage purchase requisitions (PR) and convert them into purchase orders (PO) in the ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and new product development.
• Coordinate with logistics for inbound deliveries and customs clearance (if applicable).
• Resolve issues related to delivery delays, part shortages, and discrepancies.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and localization initiatives.
• Work closely with engineering for alternative material or supplier development
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to understand material requirements.
• Address quality issues and support root cause analysis with suppliers
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects for sourcing new components

Qualifications

• Engineering Graduate is preferred.
• Minimum 0-3+ years of relevant experience.

Technical skills

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, casting, electronics).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics).
• Knowledge of Should Costing, cost breakdown analysis, and supplier audits.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $24 to $28/hr. non-exempt. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
