Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Analyst to support construction services for a major capital projects portfolio in Newark, NJ. The role covers Civil, Electrical, and A/E sourcing, supplier evaluation, and contract development across multiple locations, with a hybrid onsite schedule.

The ideal candidate brings 5 years of procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and solid MS Excel/Word abilities, plus willingness to travel between project sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance or related field.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.
  • Experience analyzing supplier proposals and negotiating with vendors for materials and services.
  • Experience with RFP/RFQ processes, competitive bidding, sourcing, and supplier evaluation.
  • Strong experience integrating technical scope and commercial requirements into contracts and purchase orders.
  • Experience with contract development, administration, and supplier management.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between work locations and project sites.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent internal client/customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities for construction services supporting capital projects.
  • Source and qualify suppliers for Civil, Electrical, and A/E services.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities and develop effective procurement strategies.
  • Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs and manage the competitive bidding process.
  • Analyze supplier proposals, bids, pricing, and commercial terms.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, scope, schedules, and other commercial requirements with suppliers.
  • Develop, issue, and administer purchase orders and contracts for materials and services.
  • Ensure project scope and commercial requirements are accurately incorporated into contracts and POs.
  • Manage contract renewals and continuously re-source recurring contractual commitments.
  • Support emergent or urgent procurement needs for business operations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts during procurement and contract reviews.
  • Serve as a procurement subject matter expert for assigned business units and support enterprise-level procurement initiatives when needed.
  • Monitor supplier performance and support positive internal client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Apply procurement expertise across multiple business units and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.

Procurement Analyst – Construction Services :: Newark, NJ 07102 / South Plainfield, NJ 07080 / Plainfield, NJ 07063 (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Analyst to support the procurement of construction services for a major capital projects portfolio. This role will manage sourcing and procurement activities for Civil, Electrical, and Architecture & Engineering (A/E) services, including supplier identification, RFPs, proposal evaluation, negotiations, contract development, renewals, and purchase orders.

The ideal candidate will have strong procurement and supply chain experience, excellent supplier negotiation skills, and the ability to manage both planned and urgent procurement requirements in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

What You Will Do

  • Procurement experience within construction, utilities, engineering, infrastructure, or capital projects.
  • Experience working in a collaborative/team-based environment.
  • Experience managing both planned and emergent procurement requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range: $41 - $42/hour
