Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Processing Technician for the Central Processing Unit on the Day shift in New York, NY. This role supports laboratory technologists by registering patients, processing requests, and preparing specimens for testing.

Responsibilities include sample collection, accessioning, centrifugation, labeling, and distributing specimens to lab sections. On-site position with alternating weekends and holidays, offering competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in specimen processing.
• Prior data entry experience preferred.

Bring your talents to our tight-knit team, and provide the support our laboratory technologists need to complete tests that drive high-quality care and caring. Register patients, process requisition forms and perform accessioning functions. Collect patient specimens through venipuncture and other methods. Conduct centrifugation. Separate samples into aliquots. Label specimens, and distribute them to appropriate laboratory sections for testing.

This position is from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, including alternate weekends and rotating holidays.

Required Criteria
