Job summary

The City of New York seeks a Principal Administrative Associate Level 2 to supervise the Automated Enforcement Unit within Traffic Operations. You will manage camera technicians, oversee the notice issuance process for red light and speed camera violations, and ensure adherence to procedures.

You will also handle scheduling, timesheets, overtime monitoring, and other human resources functions that accompany supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff.
  • An associate degree or 60 semester credits and three years of experience including one year of supervisory experience.
  • A four-year high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience with one year of supervisory experience.
  • Equivalency options allow substitution of education for some experience, with supervision experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise camera technicians who review footage and approve/reject violations.
  • Oversee issuance of Notices of Liability for various camera-based violations.
  • Conduct random quality assurance checks and prepare statistical reports.
  • Perform scheduling, timesheets, overtime monitoring, and other HR duties.
