Job summary

Stride Bank Na is seeking a Processing Specialist I to support payment products, including development, balancing, settlement, and related support systems. You will perform daily tasks such as reviewing reports, preparing correspondence, and coordinating settlement activities.

You will assist with ITS Prepaid Payroll program correspondence, respond to client inquiries, research issues, and escalate to a supervisor as appropriate, while helping teammates during absences.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a business-related field is required.
• 1-3 years’ experience as a teller or similar retail banking role, or 3+ years in related work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of and implement processes for payment products including development, balancing, settlement, and support systems.
• Review reports and prepare correspondence as part of daily tasks in Payments and Prepaid products.
• Assist with correspondence related to the ITS Prepaid Payroll program.
• Address client inquiries and research issues to resolve problems in a timely manner; escalate to supervisor as appropriate.
• Support department teammates during absences and perform other duties as assigned.

The Processing Specialist I is responsible for maintaining knowledge of and implementing processes for payment products including development, balancing, settlement, and support systems for such products.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms a variety of daily tasks associated with the Payments and Prepaid products, including but not limited to: reviewing reports, preparing correspondence, and settlement.Assist with correspondence related to the ITS Prepaid Payroll program.Assists clients with inquiries and/or problem resolution in a professional and composed manner, research to identify and resolve problems in a timely matter and escalate to supervisor as appropriate.Assist and provide support to others in the department during absences.Non-Essential Functions: Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEAssociate degree in a business-related field, required.1-3 years’ experience as a teller, or similar role in a retail banking environment, or alternate work-related experience of 3+ years, required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESAbility to organize and prioritize work and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Advanced data entry accuracy and attention to detail required.Experience using Microsoft Office; highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.Independent critical reasoning.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
