Job summary

AFL is seeking a dedicated Process Technician I to support, maintain, and improve production lines at our Duncan, SC facility. You will establish process parameters, train operators, run trials, and implement improvements to meet quality and cost targets.

Responsibilities include providing daily process and quality support, designing tooling, maintaining setup docs, and training operators to ensure procedures are followed and product specs are met. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent; able to work full-time while attending school if needed.
• Manufacturing experience (1–5 years) preferred; candidates with extensive background may qualify with supplemental education.
• Able to support off-shift and/or weekend operations with minimal notice.
• Strong analytical, math, mechanical and written/communication skills.
• Basic understanding of EHS management systems, ISO 9001, and plant accounting.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily process and quality support for assigned production lines, including issue investigation and disposition of defects.
• Design, modify, and maintain tooling and equipment to improve safety, quality, throughput, and productivity.
• Maintain process setup documentation and ensure products meet design requirements.
• Develop training materials related to process operation and setups.
• Provide hands-on engineering support for new product industrialization and production runs.
