Job summary

AFL is seeking a Process Technician I to support, maintain, and improve production lines in Duncan, SC. The role focuses on establishing setup parameters, training operators, conducting trials, maintaining tooling, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• 1–5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Willing to support off-shift and weekend operations.
• Strong analytical, math, mechanical, and written and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001 and EHS principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily process and quality support for assigned production lines and initiate corrective actions.
• Design, modify, and maintain tooling and fixtures to improve safety, quality, throughput and productivity.
• Maintain process setup documentation to ensure products meet design requirements.
• Develop training materials for process operation, including setup procedures and tooling maintenance.
• Train operators on process procedures to ensure compliance.
• Provide hands‑on engineering support for new product industrialization and initial production runs.
• Interact with customers on technical and quality topics as needed.
• Coordinate with suppliers to execute projects and improve processes.
• Support objectives to increase productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance safety.
• Participate in cross‑functional project teams to meet objectives on time and budget.
• Adhere to AFL environmental, health & safety policies.
