Job summary

AFL is seeking a Certified Technician to safely operate production lines for cable manufacturing in Duncan, SC. You will follow procedures, focus on quality, and work in a team-driven, cost-conscious environment. The role reports to a crew supervisor and requires flexibility across shifts.

The Duncan facility operates 24/7; night and weekend work is required. Success depends on adhering to safety policies, producing to spec, and maintaining data accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Read and follow work instructions; basic math and measurement devices.
• Mechanically oriented with problem-solving ability.
• Experience in metal forming/welding a plus but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer skills; MS Office and Oracle a plus.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to environmental, health & safety policies.
• Maintain acceptable attendance per AFL policies.
• Adhere to the production schedule, minimize changeover times, and meet production goals.
• Produce products that meet or exceed specifications.
• Enter production and quality data accurately.
• Achieve and maintain assigned production process certifications.
• Maintain assigned work area and equipment clean and orderly.
• Assist other operators with machine setup and operation as needed.
• Document and report quality issues.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
