PROCESS TECHNICIAN DESCRIPTION:

Read, write and use process Setup Sheets to mold quality parts to specific print specifications. Troubleshoot and correct any plastic injection mold processing problems.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have good attitude and be a team player
• Must be able to work independently and follow directions
• Ability to make sound decisions
• Must have good attendance
• Willingness to work overtime
• Basic computer skills such as Excel, Access, and Email
• Ability to comprehend simple and moderately complex instructions
• Adhere to all Safety Procedures

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, crouch, and climb to various heights
• Ability to wear a safety harness and fall protection equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working with hand tools
• Experience performing basic electrical wiring
• Two years of injection molding processing experience
• One year of injection molding setup of mold bases and extremities
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Meet all requirements of a Molding Technician
• Use process Setup Sheets
• Ensure proper setup and parameters of injection molding equipment
• Detect and correct machine malfunctions or product defects
• Complete first-off-last-off documentation
• Maintain auxiliary equipment and troubleshoot processing problems
• Monitor and adjust operating parameters
• Maintain tool cleanliness and perform startup/shutdown procedures
• Follow work instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Monitor molding presses to ensure quality and efficiency
• Identify process improvement opportunities
• Other duties as assigned
