Job Overview

As a Diesel Mechanic at SCA, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, including sweepers, trucks, and support equipment. This role offers opportunities for career advancement, skill development, and pay increases.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders to assess repair needs.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and vehicle systems.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair vehicle components such as brakes, transmissions, and suspensions.
• Perform roadside repairs and test drives to ensure vehicle performance.
• Maintain accurate records of parts and service activities.

Minimum Requirements

• 5-8 years of mechanic experience and completion of trade school.
• Toolbox and basic hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL A or B preferred.
• DOT Physical (company-paid) and Medical Card.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and maintenance tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in high noise environments, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule including overtime.
