Job summary

OxyChem seeks a senior Process Safety and Process Risk Management leader to guide PSM, RMP, and Responsible Care programs across manufacturing sites. You will partner with site leadership and HES&S teams to ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and safe capital project execution.

Responsibilities include directing risk analyses, awareness training on hazard analysis, maintaining mechanical integrity, and representing OxyChem in external safety organizations. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; other engineering disciplines considered with relevant experience.
• 10 years of plant process, maintenance, or project engineering experience interacting with plant management.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA, RMP, Responsible Care, and process safety standards.
• Organized, analytical, and outcome-focused with ability to manage complex projects.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Process Safety Management, Risk Management Plan, and Responsible Care programs across manufacturing sites.
• Oversee process risk assessments, hazard analyses, and risk mitigation activities.
• Develop and implement risk control measures and mechanical integrity programs.
• Coordinate with site leadership, HES&S teams, and external organizations (ERC, ASME, CCPS, AICHE, CMA, API, NFPA).
• Manage data and reporting for risk-related audits and incidents.
