Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to lead and sustain PSM and RMP compliance at the Chocolate Bayou site. The role requires guiding PHA/LOPA studies, managing MOC and PSSR activities, and driving continuous improvement across INEOS O&P USA facilities.

You will coordinate regulatory reporting, risk assessments and SIS-related documentation, while supporting a multi-site safety culture and ensuring protection of people, environment and assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or equivalent engineering degree is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Petrochemical Industry and/or Manufacturing with direct accountability for Process Safety Management delivery and/or support.
• Understanding of Federal and State regulations relative to Process Safety (OSHA PSM 1910.119 and US-EPA RMP 40 CFR 68).
• Experience in facilitating PHA/LOPAs and Management of Change Risk Review sessions.

Responsibilities

• Lead PHA/LOPA studies and Management of Change risk reviews, ensuring timely completion.
• Develop, implement and sustain site PSM and RMP compliance programs and related policies.
• Provide oversight to MOC and PSSR processes, ensuring timely closure of action items and continuous improvement.
• Support PSIM activities across sites, including training, audits and KPI reporting.
• Assist with risk assessments and documentation for SIS and safety integrity measures.
