Job summary

Clark Davis Associates is seeking a Process Safety Management professional to lead and enhance PSM programs within a manufacturing setting. You will support regulatory compliance, lead risk assessments, coordinate PHAs, and maintain safety documentation while partnering with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to reduce process hazards and improve operational safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, EHS, Safety Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Process Safety Management within chemical manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations.
  • Experience with hazard assessments, audits, and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process, including risk reviews and documentation.
  • Coordinate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and track corrective actions to completion.
  • Maintain OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance requirements.
  • Support safety audits, inspections, and regulatory readiness activities.
  • Develop and maintain PSM procedures, training materials, and documentation.
  • Conduct process safety training and communicate safety improvements.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Support Mechanical Integrity programs and equipment compliance efforts.
  • Perform Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for new and modified equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and EHS teams to identify and mitigate process hazards.

Job description
