Job summary

Tallgrass Energy is seeking an experienced Process Safety Manager to develop, implement, and audit Process Safety Management programs for pipeline operations. The role involves leading hazard assessments, coordinating with operations, engineering, and project teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

The candidate should have a minimum of five years in oil and gas safety, strong OSHA PSM knowledge, and advanced MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, business or related discipline.
• Minimum five years’ oil and gas industry experience applying risk assessment, safety engineering and hazard management.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM regulations and process safety tools/techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience leading hazard reviews, audits, and safety training programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead hazard assessment and support incident investigations.
• Manage the PSM process for pipeline operations, E&C, and corporate teams.
• Assess projects with Operations/Project Managers to ensure compliance from concept through life cycle.
• Prepare sites for internal and corporate Process Safety inspections.
• Identify risk reduction strategies and drive lead assessment activities.
• Train and mentor teams on new or updated procedures.
• Audit and enforce compliance procedures and processes.
• Conduct safety training programs for employees and contractors.
