Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for the duration of the internship.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Must ascend/descend stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license for work travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance with PSM/RMP and related standards.
• Conduct hazard risk identification and mitigation activities (PHA/LOPA, MOC, risk calibration).
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to resolve process safety issues.
• Develop and deliver process safety training to stakeholders.
• Lead investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Track process safety metrics and communicate trends through reports.
• Coordinate conformance audits and support regulatory inspections.
