Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Concurrent enrollment for duration of internship.
• Strong academic performance.
• On-site 40 hours per week.
• Must have valid driver’s license for work-related travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance with PSM/RMP.
• Advise on interpretation and application of internal and external standards.
• Maintain and improve process safety standards/plans.
• Coordinate hazard risk identification and mitigation activities (PHAs, LOPA, MOC).
• Collaborate with facility personnel to close safety recommendations promptly.
• Interact with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to resolve safety issues.
