Marathon Petroleum invites interns to participate in Process Safety internships/co-ops in Findlay, Ohio. You will work with engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel to implement safety standards and contribute to risk reduction across refining and midstream operations.

The program emphasizes compliance with PSM/RMP, hazard analysis, and incident investigations, offering hands-on training and exposure to regulatory practices within a leading energy company.

Formación

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree seeking program for the duration of the internship.
• Strong academic performance.
• On-site availability for 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to safely ascend/descend stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license for work-related travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms preferred.
• MIN - $34.15 per hour / MAX - $43.23 per hour

Responsabilidades

• Lead process safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance (PSM/RMP) and align with internal standards.
• Identify and mitigate process safety risks (PHA, LOPA, MOC) with facility personnel.
• Coordinate training on process safety for stakeholders and teams.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and present process safety metrics and trend reports.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections for process safety conformance.
