Job summary
Flint Hills Resources in Corpus Christi, Texas, is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to strengthen our Process Safety Management programs at the Corpus Christi Refinery. You will partner with operations, maintenance and technical support to advance safety performance through application of PSM standards and risk assessment practices.
The role involves leading PHA studies, owning select PSM programs, and mentoring teams while interfacing with plant staff and external entities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Petroleum Refinery or similar manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of process safety engineering experience.
- Certified PHA Facilitator preferred.
- Experience implementing standards/procedures/training in a management program.
Responsibilities
- Lead PHA studies or equivalent risk assessments.
- Own and oversee selected PSM programs.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance and technical support groups to advance operational process safety.
- Interface with plant staff and external entities to promote safety practices.
