Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation in Artesia, NM seeks a PSM Engineer to steward the site’s PSM program with day-to-day support for operating units and cross-functional collaboration to drive process safety excellence.

Candidate should have 2–10 years in process safety within oil & gas, refinery, or related fields. Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM and EPA RMP, plus MOC/PSSR experience, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–10 years of process safety management experience in refining, pipelines, terminals and/or oil & gas.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Experience with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP is required.
• Ability to lead, direct others and influence across functions.
• MOC and PSSR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Operations, Environment, Health and Safety, Process Engineering, Maintenance and Reliability.
• Support MOC and PSSR processes in process units.
• Provide guidance on OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance.
• Analyze trends from Process Safety Events and recommend preventative actions.
• Lead Process Hazard Analysis reviews for MOC.
• Conduct incident investigations to identify root causes.
• Participate in refinery turnaround safety preparation and execution.
• Collaborate to ensure PSM compliance during turnarounds and startups.
• On-call roster coverage after hours and weekends.
• Engage in corporate forums to share best practices and network with industry peers.
• Communicate with department leadership to meet site goals.
