Job summary

Antora Energy seeks a Process Safety Engineer to build and lead a fit-for-purpose process safety program across its thermal energy storage facilities. You will own process safety elements such as PHA, MOC, PSSR, operating procedures, and PSI, while collaborating with engineering, operations, and R&D to embed safety into design, startup, and operations.

You will drive hazard analyses, document risks, and support incident investigations, with opportunities to grow ICS capabilities and report

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or closely related discipline.
• Direct experience implementing OSHA PSM and/or EPA RMP programs.
• Experience facilitating process hazard analyses (HAZOP, What-If, LOPA).
• Ability to read P&IDs and participate in design reviews.
• Understanding of PHA, MOC, PSSR, PSI, mechanical integrity, and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a process safety program tailored to Antora’s hazards and scale.
• Facilitate process hazard analyses (HAZOP, What-If, LOPA) and close recommendations.
• Review engineering designs and read P&IDs to address hazards early.
• Own and mature the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Establish Pre-Startup Safety Review processes for new/modified installations.
• Design framework for process safety information and procedures.
• Support mechanical integrity, investigations, and training.
• Grow Antora’s emergency response and ICS capabilities.
• Track process safety metrics and report to leadership.
• Stay current with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, CCPS/AIChE, NFPA, API.
