Job summary

Adesis Inc. is a premier contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on OLED-related chemistry, with a footprint in DE. The role involves purifying target compounds with SFC and prep-HPLC, and characterizing products by HPLC/MS, NMR, and GC/MS.

You will contribute to expanding team capabilities by evaluating new technologies while maintaining instrumentation and precise notebooks in a fast-paced research environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic or analytical chemistry; industry or post-doc experience preferred.
• Experience with HPLC and prep-HPLC instrumentation required.
• Experience with OLED molecules preferred; prep/process-scale HPLC/SFC purification preferable.

Responsibilities

• Purify reaction products using SFC, HPLC (normal and reverse phase), recrystallization and Trituration.
• Characterize compounds using HPLC/MS, NMR, GC/MS.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, techniques, and stationary phases to expand capabilities.
• Maintain purification instrumentation including LCMS and Prep HPLC systems.
• Maintain thorough chemistry notebooks and accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with peers and management; work in multi-disciplinary team.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing purifications of target compounds using various methods, including, but not limited to preparative Super Critical Fluid Chromatography (SFC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (Prep-HPLC in both normal and reverse phase), trituration and recrystallization.

Key Responsibilities

• Purify reaction products using SFC, HPLC (Reverse and normal phase), Recrystallization and Trituration
• Characterize compounds using standard analytical methods, such as HPLC/MS, NMR, GC/MS
• Contribute to the expansion of team capabilities by identifying and evaluating new technologies, techniques, and stationary phases
• Must be able to work well with other team members and independently
• Maintain purification instrumentation including LCMS and Prep HPLC systems
• Maintain accurate and thorough chemistry notebook(s)
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with peers and management
• Ability to perform and succeed in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Demonstrated track record of accurate and thorough record keeping
• Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced research environment
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• PhD In Organic chemistry, analytical chemistry or related field
• Industry or Post-doctoral experience (1-2 year) is preferred
• Experience with HPLC and prep-HPLC instrumentation is required
• Exprerience working with OLED molecules preferable
• Experience with prep/process scale HPLC/SFC purification is preferable

Annual compensation range: $100k-$115k

At Adesis Inc., base pay is one part of our total compensation package. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
