Job summary

Adesis, Inc. in Wilmington, DE seeks a Research Scientist with deep expertise in synthetic organic chemistry to design, model, and synthesize innovative organic and organometallic compounds for OLED applications.

You will collaborate with chemists, physicists and engineers to optimize structures and routes for device integration. The role requires a PhD in Chemistry with strong multi-step synthesis experience, proficiency in analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, UV) and modern software

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry with synthetic organic chemistry experience.
• Experience with synthesis and characterization of organic/organometallic compounds.
• Multi-step organic synthesis experience preferred.
• Understanding of reaction mechanisms in organic chemistry.
• Knowledge of modern analytical techniques and instrumentations.
• Proficient with MS Office, ChemDraw, e-notebook and LIMS.
• Strong organization, detail orientation, and deadline adherence.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize organic/organometallic molecules for OLED devices.
• Characterize photophysical, electrochemical and thermal properties.
• Collaborate with chemists, physicists and engineers for scalability.
• Apply knowledge to improve material stability, efficiency and color purity.
• Advance OLED materials through rigorous research and documentation.
• Maintain safe lab practices and accurate experiment records.
