Job summary

Orbia Fluor & Energy Materials in Louisiana is seeking a Process R&D Manager to lead multi‑project initiatives across our portfolio. You will own development of new processes at scale, mentor engineers, and work with technology, project, and operations teams in a global matrix.

The role requires a strong background in chemical engineering, hands‑on technology transfer, pilot and plant operations, and a proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive safe, economical process improvements.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years industry experience.
• Ownership of defining and executing R&D programs.
• Hands-on technology transfer, pilot and scale-up operations.
• Operational understanding of chemical unit operations and equipment.
• Experience in process safety design and risk assessment.
• Executive presence and ability to influence multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver cost-effective processes to manufacture new products at scale.
• Develop deep understanding of process technology, options, trade-offs and economics.
• Drive technology licensing and transfer across projects and teams.
• Establish objectives and work plans across technology centers.
• Lead piloting studies and mentor lab staff.
• Support plant troubleshooting and scale-up activities.
