Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and minimum of 5 yrs. relevant experience.
• Pro/II or equivalent process simulation software proficiency.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Adaptable and positive when facing change.
• Problem-solving with data analysis and solution formulation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design scoping for laboratory and pilot plant projects, focusing on feasibility and identifying alternatives.
• Create project scoping documents to consolidate and communicate findings.
• Provide technical support to Capital Projects during initial project development and appropriation.
• Complete detailed process and mechanical design work for projects.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and plot plans.
• Develop quality assurance plans and ensure final work product meets design specs.
• Review site management of change, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in unit HAZOPs and close out HAZOP findings as needed.
