Dow in Orange, Texas seeks an Operator to safely and reliably operate assigned plant areas. You will monitor process conditions, control systems, and field equipment, performing routine and unplanned tasks with the shift team and escalating issues when needed.

You will serve on the Emergency Response Team, maintain qualifications, and mentor others while adhering to operating discipline and safety standards in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years in chemical operations preferred.
• Military experience may substitute for degree.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and overtime, including holidays/weekends.

Aufgaben

• Follow operating discipline to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions and control systems.
• Be part of the on-site Emergency Response Team and complete required training.
• Conduct shift relief and handoffs to incoming staff.
• Identify process improvements and apply change-management practices.
• Maintain area qualifications and complete training goals in a timely way.
• Mentor and train operations staff on procedures and troubleshooting.
• Perform scheduled and unplanned tasks as needed.
• Respond to severe weather and other emergencies when assigned.
