Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an Operator for the Orange, Texas Sabine River Operations to safely operate assigned plant areas and respond to unplanned events with the shift team.

The role requires 12-hour shift availability, compliance with operating discipline, and hands-on experience with process equipment, control systems, and safety procedures to maintain reliable plant performance. You will mentor others, participate in training, and support emergency response and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in an Operations role within a Chemical Manufacturing environment or 3+ years of relevant military experience.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule and overtime, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions, metrics, and control systems to maintain desired rates and conditions.
• Follow Operating Discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and complete required training.
• Conduct shift relief and handoffs to ensure clear communication.
• Identify improvements using facility processes and change management where applicable.
• Mentor and train operations personnel on process operation and troubleshooting.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks arising from unplanned events.
• Support immediate and severe weather response activities as needed.
