Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle seeks a Process Engineer in Erlanger, KY to drive OEE, scrap reduction, and change management across packaging lines. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, guide IL6S projects, and partner with Maintenance, R&D, Packaging, and Quality to improve line performance.

The role requires 2–5 years in engineering, knowledge of packaging materials, and strong data analysis skills. Willingness to travel 5–10% and to international sites is needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years’ experience as an engineer, preferably in CPGs.
• Experience leading packaging design or equipment installation.
• Knowledge of statistics, quality, TPM and production KPIs.
• Experience with packaging materials: corrugated, paperboard, films.
• Familiarity with VFFS, HFFS and flow wrapping equipment.
• Experience in World Class Manufacturing and Lean/6 Sigma practices.
• Strong problem solving and data analysis; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Willingness to travel 5–10% and to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead KPI development for packaging lines and drive improvement plans.
• Collect data, interpret results, and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Lead commissioning plans and factory acceptance tests for new packaging designs.
• Coordinate line trials with packaging engineers and suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement using IL6S, Kaizen and Six Sigma.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, R&D, Packaging, Production, Engineering and Quality.
