Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Process Engineer to lead manufacturing process improvements at the Manchester operation. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and drives value plans to reduce costs, eliminate bottlenecks, and streamline processes.

It involves guiding supervisors and operators without direct reports. Key duties include budgeting support, cross-functional problem solving, and implementing systematic improvements to manufacturing cost, quality, and cycle times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred).
• 2-3 years engineering experience in cable manufacturing is desirable.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Familiarity with six sigma and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects including cost estimations, designs, specifications, approvals, procurement, installation, startup, cost control, safety and implementation to meet objectives.
• Achieve measurable productivity gains and KPI goals as identified by Plant Manager and Process Engineering Manager.
• Assist with annual capital and expense budget preparation for management review.
• Collaborate with Operations to solve manufacturing problems and identify future productivity opportunities.
• Prepare and implement programs to reduce costs, optimize quality, reduce scrap, and improve cycles.
