Job summary

INVISTA in Orange, TX seeks an experienced Process Operator to safely operate and monitor process equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support production and reliability goals. You will collaborate with operators, maintenance, and engineers, participate in startups/shutdowns, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Process Technology and hands-on CMMS/SAP experience; ERT participation is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Operator in a refinery or chemical plant.
• Experience with a workflow, work-order, or CMMS (e.g., SAP or LeanKit).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot operational or process-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Willing to participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) training and activities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor process equipment to support production, quality, and reliability objectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process upsets, equipment issues, and operating abnormalities.
• Conduct routine field inspections to identify hazards and deviations.
• Follow operating procedures and environmental requirements for safe plant operation.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance, and engineers to improve plant performance.
• Participate in unit startups, shutdowns, and critical operating activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement for safety, reliability, efficiency and product quality.
• Complete required training and qualification activities.
• Participate as a member of the site's Emergency Response Team (ERT).
