Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking a hands-on Supervisor for hourly operations technicians at our South Carolina site. You will drive safety, environmental compliance, asset protection, and production, while coordinating across departments and mentoring operators.

The role requires a strong safety record, at least five years of progressive process operations experience, and proven supervisory skills. A collaborative, disciplined leader will help us maintain safe, efficient, and compliant

Qualifications

• Proven safety record and ability to support safety, environmental, and production goals.
• Minimum of five (5) years progressive process operations experience.
• Proven ability to supervise numerous employees at once.
• Ability to facilitate crew lineouts, safety meetings etc.
• Ability to follow company policies and hold fellow employees/contractors accountable to follow company policies and procedures.
• Five (5) years of responsible supervisory experience in an industrial operation is preferred.
• Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's License preferred.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, or higher education.

Responsibilities

• Actively drive HGM’s behavior-based safety and environmental stewardship culture.
• Directly supervise, support, and professionally develop process operations crew.
• Collaboration with other departments when needed.
• Provide training and mentoring for operators.
• Develop a safe, productive, and high-performing crew while working collaboratively within the framework of the site team and company enterprise.
• Conduct individual employee evaluations.
• Update employee training records and status upgrades.
• Establish and refine operating strategies and procedures to ensure equipment is utilized to its optimum extent.
• Perform medium-user duties including: SuccessFactors Time entry and approval, Pronto (CMMS), work requests, warehouse requests, Support of Process “Our Safe Behaviors” program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
