Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead hourly operations technicians at our US processing facilities. This role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, asset protection, and production, coordinating across departments to optimize equipment use and drive a high-performing crew.

The candidate will train and mentor operators, conduct evaluations, and ensure records and procedures reflect best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven safety record and ability to support work group in achievements of safety, environmental, and production goals (required).
• Minimum of five (5) years progressive process operations experience (required).
• Proven ability to supervise numerous employees at once (required).
• Ability to facilitate crew lineouts, safety meetings, etc. (required).
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures and to hold fellow employees/contractors accountable (required).
• Experience with computer operations (preferred).
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this position (required).
• Five (5) years of responsible supervisory experience in an industrial operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively drive safety and environmental stewardship culture.
• Directly supervise and develop process operations crew.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Provide training and mentoring for operators.
• Develop a safe, productive, high-performing crew within site team and enterprise.
• Conduct employee evaluations and update training records.
• Establish and refine operating strategies to optimize equipment use.
• Handle time entry, CMMS work requests, warehouse requests, and process safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
