Job summary

Openwork is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer for our Thomaston, GA facility. You will lead manufacturing process improvements, reduce waste and costs, and support quality and safety initiatives to drive continuous improvement across the plant.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and data-driven problem solving. Collaboration with production, maintenance, quality, and other teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience in manufacturing or textile manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Pareto Analysis, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and translate findings into practical process improvements.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Lead and support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Analyze engineering and production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support new product development, new technologies, equipment installation, and plant layout projects.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and other teams to implement process improvements.
• Help reduce waste, improve throughput, and optimize manufacturing operations.
