Job summary

Matrix designs, manufactures, and sells innovative technological products at its Newburgh, IN office. The Business Analyst will evaluate, document, and enhance cross-functional processes, strengthen controls, and support compliance initiatives to enable sustainable growth.

The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and effective communication across IT and business leadership to design, implement, and optimize processes and governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, business administration, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business process analysis.
• Audit and control environment experience is preferred.
• Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document current-state business processes, workflows, and procedures.
• Evaluate processes to identify operational, financial, compliance, and regulatory risks.
• Recommend control enhancements to mitigate risks.
• Maintain process libraries and documentation repositories.
• Gather, document, and validate requirements from stakeholders across departments.
• Create reports, dashboards, and analyses to support decisions and performance.
• Monitor KPIs and business metrics.
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for standardization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma or similar methods.
• Analyze workflow performance and propose efficiency improvements.
• Collect and analyze data to measure impact of enhancements.
• Create training materials and assist with change management.
• Stay updated on best practices and tech trends for automation.
