Job summary

Matrix designs is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to evaluate, document, and optimize complex business processes across multiple functional areas in our Newburgh, NY office. The role emphasizes internal controls, compliance, and scalable process improvements to support growth.

The successful candidate will map current workflows, gather requirements from stakeholders, create reports and dashboards, and collaborate with IT and business leadership to implement solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, business administration, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business process analysis.
• Audit and control environment experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document current-state business processes, workflows, and procedures.
• Evaluate processes to identify operational, financial, compliance, and regulatory risks.
• Recommend control enhancements to mitigate identified risks.
• Support development and maintenance of process libraries and documentation.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders across departments.
• Create reports, dashboards, and analyses to support decision-making.
• Monitor and evaluate KPIs and business metrics.
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for standardization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods.
• Collaborate with IT and leadership to design and implement improvements.
