Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Bedford, MA seeks a detail-oriented Process Engineering Technician to support manufacturing engineering on the factory floor. You will review materials, disposition defects, troubleshoot processes and assist with engineering runs and data collection.

We value hands-on problem solvers with associate degrees in engineering/technical fields and 2+ years in semiconductor or precision manufacturing. Strong SPC knowledge and clear documentation are important.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or technical discipline or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years in semiconductor or precision manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with SPC concepts including Out of Control (OOC) and Out of Specification (OOS).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to visually inspect, measure, and disposition materials.
• Ability to follow procedures, response flows, and SOPs; good documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work hands-on with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Review questionable materials on the factory floor and disposition per defect libraries.
• Compare defects against reference images and classifications for consistent dispositions.
• Escalate ambiguous defects to the responsible engineer for evaluation and containment.
• Troubleshoot process problems using response flow checklists and SPC events.
• Follow flows to contain issues, identify causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support root cause investigations by gathering data and documenting observations.
• Maintain and update defect libraries and process documents with new findings.
• Assist engineering runs on manufacturing equipment and data collection.
• Identify safety and quality concerns and take corrective actions.
