Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Bedford, MA is seeking a detail-oriented Process Engineering Technician to join our Manufacturing Engineering team.

You will support factory sustaining by reviewing materials and dispositioning them using defect libraries, and by troubleshooting process problems and SPC events on the shop floor. Working side by side with engineers, you will perform engineering runs, collect measurement data, update defect libraries, and help develop clear work instructions and response flows.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent manufacturing/technical work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, cleanroom, or production environment; semiconductor industry preferred.
• Familiarity with SPC concepts, including Out of Control (OOC) and Out of Specification (OOS) conditions.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to visually inspect, measure, and disposition materials consistently.
• Comfortable using measurement tools and following work instructions, response flows, and standard operating procedures.
• Good documentation and technical writing skills, with the ability to update procedures and record findings clearly.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to work hands‑on alongside engineers on the factory floor.

Responsibilities

• Review questionable materials on the factory floor and disposition them using defect libraries and standard criteria.
• Compare observed defects against reference images and classifications for accurate disposition.
• Escalate ambiguous or new defects to the responsible engineer for evaluation.
• Troubleshoot process problems and SPC events using response flow checklists.
• Maintain defect libraries and related process documents with new findings.
• Support engineering runs on manufacturing equipment and collect data for projects.
• Identify gaps in documentation and help update work instructions and response flows.
• Ensure all manufacturing process documents and certifications are current and controlled.
• Identify safety and quality concerns and take or recommend corrective actions.
