Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for someone to join our Manufacturing team as a Process Engineering Technician I in Lewiston, Idaho. SHIFT: Swing (2nd shift) (Mon-Fri, 3:00pm to 11:30pm)

A typical day as a Process Engineering Technician I might include:

• Assisting in measuring and improving yield, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing equipment and processes.


• Documenting, modifying, and maintaining manufacturing related procedures.


• Managing the procurement of assembly process tools.


• Training operators and support staff as needed.


• Learning and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

This job might be for you if:

• You have a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.


• Familiarity with the manufacturing equipment relevant to the role


• You have basic computer skills including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, SQL)


• You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.


• You can learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.


• You can work cooperatively in a team environment.

It is a plus if you have:

• Experience troubleshooting process and machinery problems.


• Experience writing and/or conducting Design of Experiments.


• Experience programming and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment and machinery.


• Experience preparing materials cross-sections for microscopic analysis.


• Working knowledge of basic analog and digital electronics.

Pay Range: $32.88 - $43.00 per hour (plus swing shift differential: $5.00/hr)

Level I: $32.88 - $43.00 per hour

Level II: $35.83 - $52.00 per hour
